What is your favorite part about living in Madison?
I love passionate sports fans! I also love being in an active community that spends a lot of time outdoors.
What is the biggest news story that you’ve covered?
In December 2014, the University of Alabama-Birmingham shut down its football program. It was truly moving and emotional to see how sports transcended into news headlines. I loved how it brought the community together.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to read newspapers and magazines (yes, like an actual physical newspaper – I’m old school), hot yoga, spinning, paddleboarding, surfing & playing golf
What is your favorite kind of ice cream?
Deer tracks – or anything that has caramel in it
What is your favorite place to vacation?
Maine! It’s known as “Vacationland” for a reason! Also Marbella, Spain and Paris, France.
Who is your hero and why?
Too many to list – there are several sports writers and journalists I admire, especially female ones, for paving the way
What was your favorite band when you were in high school?
Spice Girls and the Backstreet Boys
What is your favorite sport to play or watch?
To play – lacrosse and golf, to watch – college football, college basketball, any level of baseball
If you could possess one superhuman power, what would it be?
Disapparating (shout out to the Harry Potter fans out there) – because I hate waiting
What are you really bad at that you’d love to be great at?
Golfing and singing/dancing
What is your most memorable travel experience?
My family lived in Germany when I was in middle school, so we had the opportunity to travel to lots of countries in Europe. The experience was really instrumental in shaping my view of the world and how I approach life as a whole.
