What is your favorite part about living in Madison? Madison is a funny city because it’s modern look, but everywhere you look there’s a little spec of history to be found. I have a passion for rock and roll and the city is filled with rock and roll landmarks.

What is the biggest news story that you’ve covered? My biggest news story since working at WISC was the explosion at the Didion Milling plant in Cambria, Wis. I learned a lot about story telling during that time and what it can mean to a community in need.

What do you like to do in your spare time? I collect autographs and vinyl records. I also play in rock and roll bands and go to a lot of concerts.

Who is your hero and why? My hero is Bob Dylan because of his connection to the Midwest and what his music means to me.

What was your favorite band when you were in high school? What a question! I had many favorite bands in high school, and most of them still fall on that list. However, The Beatles will also be my number one!

What is your favorite song of all time? To many to pick from, but I believe “Moon River” is the greatest pop song ever written.

What is your favorite movie of all time? “The God Father” or “The Big Lebowski”

What is your favorite book of all time? “Farewell to Arms” by Ernest Hemmingway

Where were you when September 11, 2001 occurred? I was only in 1st grade, but I remember it vividly. I remember being in my classroom and other students whispering about something “bad” happening. I remember cars lining up outside of the gas station near my house as people thought the gas supply would run out. I also remember watching the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather with my dad who was struggling to find a way to explain what was happening.
