What is your favorite part about living in Madison? How green the city is! Downtown feels so healthy and alive.

What is the biggest news story that you’ve covered? Reporting on President Obama’s visit to Columbia, SC and the historic flooding in 2015 from Hurricane Joaquin.

What do you like to do in your spare time? I spend a lot of time in the gym; I love lifting! I also bike ride and hike a lot with my dog, Penny.

What is your favorite kind of ice cream? Vanilla

What is your favorite place to vacation? Western North Carolina. I love the mountains and the towns nearby so much I’m getting married there!

What is your favorite sport to play or watch? I like watching college football, especially after learning more about the schools and teams in the last few years (thanks fiancé)!

If you could possess one superhuman power, what would it be? I would control the weather! Is that too obvious? Haha

What is the worst job you have ever had? I’ve worked in almost every fast-food restaurant. I think I learned a little something in each of them.

What is your favorite tradition around the holidays? Decorating for Christmas on Black Friday. We would go to the Christmas Parade in Peoria, then return home and decorate. By the end of the day, the house would be an explosion of reds and greens and little Santas.

What is your favorite movie of all time? Moonrise Kingdom, and I love most Wes Anderson movies.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received? My dad left me a voicemail once and told me to ‘just keep working hard.’ It’s simple and it stuck.

Where were you when September 11, 2001 occurred? I was just getting out of the truck and heading into school. I remember a few adults initially thinking it was the Sear’s Tower in Chicago (being from Central Illinois).
