MADISON, Wis. — The Badger women’s basketball team now knows who they will play this year, and when.

The Big Ten announced this season’s conference game schedule, the last unknown dates for Wisconsin, meaning the countdown to basketball season can finally begin in earnest.

Of course, Wisconsin has to work through some non-conference opposition before that matchup. The season starts with a battle for I-94 against UW-Milwaukee at the Klotsche Center on November 7. The Badgers will stay in the Cream City for the second game of the season, a special matchup at American Family Field against Kansas State on November 11.

The Badgers will play their first home game of the season on November 13 against the North Florida Ospreys.

Wisconsin will spend Thanksgiving weekend in the Virgin Islands for this year’s Paradise Jam, taking on Georgia (Nov. 24), Seton Hall (Nov. 25) and VCU (Nov. 26). This is the fourth time the Badgers will play in the Paradise Jam, having last participated in 2017.

December 1 sees the return of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, with the Badgers hosting Florida State. Wisconsin kicks off Big Ten conference play on December 4 when Iowa visits the Kohl Center. The Hawkeyes were regular-season conference co-champions last year and won the Big Ten tournament.

The Badgers will ring in 2023 with a game on New Year’s Day against Purdue in West Lafayette. Fans’ first chance to see Wisconsin at home in the new year comes on January 8 when Minnesota visits the Kohl Center.

Wisconsin will host last year’s other Big Ten co-champion, Ohio State, on February 1. February also sees the team get a second match with Minnesota (Feb. 11) and Iowa (Feb. 15).

The regular season wraps up on February 26 at the Kohl Center when the Badgers welcome Michigan. The Wolverines had a stellar season last year, advancing all the way to the Elite Eight before falling to 1-seed Louisville.
