Big 8 Baseball: Parker beats Sun Prairie 6-3 in 10 innings
SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — Zach Bailey hit a two-run home run in the 10th inning to lead Janesville Parker to the big road win 6-3 over two time defending state champion Sun Prairie Friday night at Summit Credit Union field. Both teams are now tied for first place in the Big 8.
The game was tied at 3 in the 10th inning. Cullen Osmond’s RBI gave the Vikings a 4-3 lead. Bailey was the next batter and he homered on the first pitch.
Parker jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first on a Sun Prairie error. The Cardinals Ryan Curran doubled in the fourth inning to give Sun Prairie a 2-1 lead. They would score three runs in the inning to take a 3-1 lead.
But Parker scored two in the top of the fifth to tie the game at three.
Both teams are now 12-2 in the Big 8 conference, tied for first place.
