Biden orders flags lowered in memory Texas school shooting victims, will address country tonight

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden is ordering flags to be flown at half staff in memory of the 18 elementary school children and three teachers who were killed during a mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas Tuesday.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said in a news conference Tuesday afternoon that the suspected shooter was an 18-year-old man who lived in Uvalde and entered the school with a handgun, and may have also had a rifle.
