Betty Mae Hayes
Betty M. Hayes, 86, of Cuba City, WI, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 on the eve of her wedding anniversary at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City, WI.
Services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, May 27th at the Benton Bible Church in Benton, WI, with Pastor Nelson Perkinson officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Seymour Township, WI. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 27th from 9:30am until time of service at the church. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.
Betty was born on July 25, 1927 to Raymond & Mable (Waggett) Nicholas in Elk Grove Township, WI. She married Norman “Gabby” Hayes on May 23, 1947 in Jenkynsville, WI. Betty worked as a secretary for Brown Motor Company in Cuba City, WI. She was a member of the Benton Bible Church in Benton, WI. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, country music and gatherings with friends and family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Betty is survived by 3 daughters: Jeslyn (Jay) Jackson of Colo, IA, Janice (Rex) Whitmore of Davenport, IA and Joyce (Clark) Cammack of Platteville, WI; 3 grandchildren: Matt Cammack, John Jackson and Ryan Whitmore; 5 great grandchildren: Hunter, Lane & Hannah Cammack, Haylee Jackson and Shane Nodolf; 1 great-great grandson, Braxton Nodolf; and a brother-in-law, Joe Rauch of Dubuque, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Norman (July 30, 2007). In lieu of flowers a Betty M. Hayes Memorial Fund has been established.
