Betsy Martha Brummond
Betsy Martha Brummond, age 76, of Janesville, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home, Janesville surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Edgerton on Oct. 2, 1940, the daughter of Edward and Lillian (Woodward) Davis. Betsy graduated from Janesville Senior High School in 1960, and Milwaukee School of Nursing. She married Lewis Emil Brummond on Dec. 9, 1961, in Janesville, and he preceded her in death on June 6, 2016, in Eureka Springs, AR. Betsy was an OR Technician at Mercy Hospital, Janesville and had also been employed by the Bank of Eureka Springs. She was an avid member of the Daughters of the American Revolution of Eureka Springs, and a cast member of the “Passion Play” in Eureka Springs. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and flea markets.
Betsy is survived by her 2 children, Terry Gordon Brummond of Chippewa Falls, David Lewis Brummond of Williamsburg, IA; grandson, Kristopher (Abby) Brummond of Camp Lejeune, NC; 5 sisters: Marion (Marvin) Gray, Edith (Kenneth) Masterson, Dorothy (James) Dopkins, Margie Ivey of Lewis, DE and Carolyn Grumbling of Inverness, FL; brothers, Rolland (Sandra) Davis and Robert Davis both of Janesville; and many other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Clifford and Richard Davis.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Johnstown Center Cemetery Johnstown Township. In lieu of flowers memorials would be greatly appreciated to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation or St. Elizabeth Nursing Home, Janesville.
