Best of the ‘Burbs 2016

Best of the ‘Burbs 2016

The suburbs bring to mind friendly neighbors, picket fences, soccer moms and chain restaurants and shops. All of which aren’t bad things-but there’s so much more surrounding Madison proper that’s worth exploring, too. There are breweries, shops, bed-and-breakfasts, burgers and festivals that tempt with local flavors, products and sounds. This is the second year of our Best of the ‘Burbs readers’ poll and once again, you resoundingly shared with us your favorite haunts in Madison’s ‘burbs. The public was asked to cast votes in more than 30 categories throughout the month of March. Many of these categories were write-in only, leaving no doubt who you truly love! The top three winners (or in some cases, there are ties for second and third place) are listed in this story.
