Best of the ‘Burbs 2015: Festival

Middleton Good Neighbor Festival, Middleton
In the “Good Neighbor City,” community bonds are everything, and that’s what the Good Neighbor Festival is all about. Each August, the town turns out for three days of good old-fashioned family fun. There’s live music from local artists, an array of carnival games and, of course, Wisconsin-inspired food galore. To top it off, the last day features an all-encompassing parade showcasing the people and places that make the city thrive. In the spirit of community, all proceeds from the festival are put back into the hands of local organizations, like the Boy and Girl Scouts, the Lions Club and youth hockey teams.
Finalists: Syttende Mai Folk Festival, Stoughton; Summer Frolic, Mount Horeb
