Bemidji St. upsets Wisconsin at LaBahn Arena

Badger women’s hockey picked to win WCHA

Wisconsin women’s hockey suffered their fourth loss of the season Friday night at LaBahn Arena, dropping a 2-1 decision to Bemidji St. 

The Beavers started fast, with Hannah Moher scoring to give the Beavers a 1-0 lead. Moments later, Wisconsin’s Sarah Nurse split defenders on a breakaway to make it 1-1. 

Both teams were held scoreless in the second period. 

In the third period, Emma Terres got the puck with Badgers goalie Ann-Renee Desbiens off balance and fired a goal to make it 2-1 Beavers, which ended up being the final score. 

Desbiens fell to 14-4-2 on the year as she tallied 28 saves in the loss.
