Beloit Police trying to reunite lost chickens with owner

BELOIT, Wis. — Beloit Police are looking for the owner of two chickens after the pair flew the coop Sunday morning.

In a Facebook post Sunday, the department asked for help in finding the owner of the two birds.

“We have picked up cows (from a basement), goats (from a car), and we have had chickens before,” Sergeant Flanagan said in the post. “It would be cool to start our own farm, but right now we don’t have the staffing to tend to the livestock.”

Police are asking that anyone who may know the owner of the fowl call 757-2244.
