Beloit police searching for people who shot a home five times
BELOIT, Wis. — Beloit police are looking for multiple people they believe to be involved in a shooting that took place Sunday afternoon.
According to Lt. John Koltenbrun, police responded to a call in the 1000 block of Bluff Street in Beloit around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. They found nearly 10 shell casings and discovered a home on the block had been hit with gunfire five times.
“This is an isolated, targeted incident,” Koltenbrun said. “Unfortunately for that neighborhood, that’s where it was targeted.”
No one was in the home at the time of the shooting, but Koltenbrun said that doesn’t make the incident any less serious.
“Just because someone didn’t get hit by gunfire doesn’t mean that we’re less concerned with the number of shots being fired,” he said.
Police said they are looking for more than one person who could possibly be driving a white Chevrolet Malibu or Impala. Those with information are encouraged to contact the Greater Beloit Crimestoppers.
