Beloit Memorial tops Madison Memorial, 2-1

VERONA — Ricardo Ramos and Jose Gutierrez scored three minutes apart in the second half to give Beloit Memorial a 2-1 win over Madison Memorial in a WIAA Boys Soccer sectional semifinal Thursday afternoon at Reddan Soccer Park in Verona.

Ramos scored off a corner kick in the 63rd minute, then Gutierrez put home a rebound goal in the 66th minute to give Beloit a 2-0 lead.

Teon Fountain scored in the 82nd minute for Madison Memorial.

Beloit Memorial advances to the sectional final Saturday afternoon at 5 against the winner of the Madison West – Kettle Moraine match that will be played Thursady evening..
