Be safe with Cyber Monday shopping and safety tips
Some discounts steeper than others
The holiday shopping continues to Cyber Monday, what has been described as the biggest online shopping day of the year.
The National Retail Federation estimates more than 126 million people will shop Cyber Monday.
Before you check out, you should look for coupon codes to land bigger discounts. Also, companies may have special sales in their social media accounts. Check their Twitter and Facebook feeds.
Trae Bodge, a senior editor with Retailmenot.com, said the deepest discounts will be in apparel, consumer electronics, health and beauty.
Discounts will not be to the same level as Thanksgiving or Black Friday. Cyber Monday items will be cut down by an average 20 percent. On Thanksgiving the average discount was 24 percent, on Black Friday it was 23 percent.
