Bat, gun spotted at scene of west side disturbance
Men refuse to talk to police
MADISON, Wis. — A disturbance between two groups of men in a parking lot on Madison’s west side involved a bat used to break the window from an SUV and a gun that hit the ground.
Madison police said officers were called to the parking lot in the 400 block of Grand Canyon Drive at 5:44 p.m. Thursday for a report of a disturbance between two groups of men. One of the men was armed with a baseball bat.
A witness told police that a gun dropped to the pavement as one of the men got into a SUV. The person who dropped it picked it up and drove off.
As the SUV drove off, someone from the other group threw the bat breaking a window in the SUV, police said.
The group at the scene after the SUV left refused to talk to police about the incident.
