Bank burglars smash window with rock, take nothing, police say
MADISON, Wis. — Police are investigating an after-hours burglary at a north Madison bank early Thursday.
Madison police said officers were sent to an alarm activation at the UW Credit Union on Northport Drive just after 3 a.m. and discovered a rear glass door had been shattered by a rock.
According to the report, drawers in the teller area and in an office had been pulled open, but an employee — who arrived at the scene — didn’t believe anything had been stolen.
A bank manager is expected to do a complete inventory Thursday, the report said.
