Badgers volleyball team receives top seed in NCAA Tournament
MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team has been the top-ranked team in the nation all season, and now they will be able to prove why they are the best team in the country.
The Badgers received the top seed in the NCAA volleyball tournament this season which was announced on Sunday afternoon.
Wisconsin will receive a bye in the first round of the tournament but will play the winner of Bowling Green vs. Weber State on April 15.
The whole tournament will be played in Omaha.
Last week, the Badgers clinched their second straight Big Ten Championship after defeating the Michigan Wolverines on Thursday.
Wisconsin is currently 15-0.
The Badgers went nearly a month without playing this season due to COVID-19 cases within the program, and cases within their opponents programs.
Wisconsin is looking for revenge this season as they were defeated by Stanford in the National Championship last season.
