Badgers’ undefeated season ends at Northwestern
EVANSTON, Ill. — The Badgers’ undefeated 2020 season ended Saturday night in a 17-7 loss at Northwestern.
The top-20 matchup didn’t feature many points, but the Wildcats’ offense was able to squeak just enough past a Badgers’ defense that had entered the game allowing just 18 points through its first two games of the season — blowout wins against Illinois and Michigan.
It was a different story Saturday, where quarterback Graham Mertz threw for just one touchdown and three interceptions.
Wisconsin returns to the field next Saturday at home against Minnesota in the battle for the Axe. Minnesota is coming off a win over Purdue on Friday night.
