Badgers to allow full capacity at Camp Randall Stadium this fall
MADISON, Wis. — More than 80,000 people will be able to Jump Around at Camp Randall Stadium when the Wisconsin Badgers host Penn State on September 4th to open the 2021 season.
The university announced Wednesday that there will be no capacity limits at Camp Randall Stadium for Badgers football games this fall, as well as no capacity limits at the Fieldhouse for Badgers women’s volleyball matches.
The UW athletic department had previously announced in February fans would be able to return to Camp Randall this fall, and said it was planning on allowing full capacity this upcoming football season, but would scale back those plans if the coronavirus pandemic continued into the fall.
“We’ve missed the energy of our fans so much,” UW Deputy AD Chris McIntosh said in a statement. “To be able to sit here in late June and look forward to full capacity in the fall is tremendously exciting. I’m ecstatic for our fans, our student-athletes and our staff.”
Season tickets for the general public will go on sale starting July 12th, along with ticket mini packs. Home and away single game tickets for the public go on sale a little more than a week later on July 20th.
