Badgers rally, beat NC State, 79-75
Happ's double-double leads Wisconsin
Ethan Happ scored 19 points and had 11 rebounds as the Wisconsin Badgers rallied to beat North Carolina State, 79-75 in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge at the Kohl Center Tuesday night at the Kohl Center.
NC State had a 36-29 lead at halftime and led by as many as 12 in the second half, but the three point shooting of D’Mitrik Trice and Aleem Ford brought Wisconsin back.
Trice was 4-5 and Ford was 4-7 from three point range in the game.
Trice hit a long jump shot with 23.6 seconds left to give the Badgers a 76-73 lead, then Brad Davison drew his fifth charging foul of the game to help preserve the win.
Trice scored 18 points while Ford and Davison had 12 points each.
Wisconsin (6-1) is now 10-10 in the 20 years of the Big Ten-ACC Challenge.
Markell Johnson led NC State (6-1) with 21 points and C.J. Bryce added 18 points and seven rebounds.
The Badgers travel to Iowa to open the Big Ten regular season Friday night at 7 pm CT.
