Badgers picked to win the WCHA in preseason poll

MADISON, Wis. — The Badger women’s hockey team returned to the ice Wednesday for the first time since winning it all and the two-time defending champs are picked to win some more this season.


Wisconsin topped the WCHA Preseason Poll with 7 of the 8 first place votes. Darly Watts was named the league’s Preseason Player of the Year. The Badger forward also joined Sophie Shirley and Grace Bowlby on the Preseason All-WCHA team.


UW drops the puck on their season September 24 at Lindenwood.
