Badgers lose LaBahn debut
Bemidji State continues drought for Wisconsin
MADISON — The Badger women’s hockey team played its first game at LaBahn Arena Friday night and for the third straight game, Wisconsin was shutout, 1-0 to Bemidji State.
Kristin Huber scored at the 4:54 mark of the third period for the only goal of the game.
Wisconsin’s Alex Rigsby made 22 saves while Brianna Decker and Madison Packer both had six shots on goal for the Badgers.
Bemidji State improved its WCHA record to 1-2-0-0 while Wisconsin drops to 1-3-1-1 in league play.
2,273 fans attended the first game which featured a recognition of Wisconsin’s four national championships and brought back a number of the biggest names in Wisconsin women’s hockey history.
