Badgers Get Ready For Marquette

The University of Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team played at North Carolina Wednesday night, but was right back in Madison for classes today and a light practice Thursday.

The Badgers hung with North Carolina in Chapel Hill, losing 60-57 to the Tar Heels. Now it’s Marquette at the Kohl Center Saturday afternoon.

“Right now, it’s just really disappointing to be in a position where we thought we could have stolen one on the road against a very good team,” said center Jared Berggren. “So, there is a lot to learn from it. But I think we definitely showed we can compete with anyone in the country.”

“I am from Minnesota so I thought coming in the Wisconsin-Minnesota is the big rivalry,” said guard Jordan Taylor. “So, to come in and see how big of a rivalry Marquette was, it was actually kind of fun to get into it. And to be 3-1 in four years would be pretty good, so I want to win this one pretty bad.”

Wisconsin plays Marquette Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Kohl Center.
