Badger volleyball wins 10th straight match
First place Wisconsin wins at second place Purdue
WEST LAFAYETTE, IN — Ellen Chapman had 16 kills to lead the Wisconsin Badger volleyball team to a three-set win at Purdue Wednesday night.
Kelli Bates had 13 kills and Dominique Thompson added 11 as the Badgers won their 10th straight match.
Wisconsin trailed 21-14 in the first set, but rallied to win it 28-26. The Badgers took the next two sets 25-16 and 25-19 to improve their overall record to 19-2.
The Badgers also extend their lead atop the Big Ten standings. Wisconsin is now 10-1 in the conference while Purdue falls from second to fourth place at 8-3.
With the sweep tonight, the Badgers have won 22 straight sets in addition to the 10-match winning streak.
