AWOL Dane County inmate back in custody, officials say
MADISON, Wis. — An inmate who walked away from Ferris Center in Madison on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, Rondino Fleming is serving a 25-week sentence with Huber work release for battery, but he walked away from the Rimrock Road work-release jail facility Saturday.
The release said Fleming was considered absent without leave, or AWOL.
Officials said Fleming was apprehended Friday afternoon without incident, and he’s back in custody at the jail.
In the initial release, the sheriff’s office said Fleming will face a new charge of escape upon his return to jail.
