Avoca man arrested on multiple charges following chase
The suspect was arrested on drug related charges
BOSCOBEL, Wis. — An Avoca man was arrested in Boscobel Tuesday, following a chase.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says police in Muscoda tried to stop Lemuel Anderson, 49, for traffic violations at 11:25 a.m. before Anderson fled the scene.
Police stopped their chase due to high speeds and unsafe driving.
A Grant County deputy later spotted Anderson on County Highway T and began another chase. The chase was ended due to high speeds while entering the Village of Blue River.
The deputy was able to find Anderson again, at Studenberg Rd. and Old C Rd., and began another chase.
Police say Anderson was driving at high speeds on the wrong side of the road. The chase was halted once again due to high speeds and unsafe driving.
Anderson’s vehicle was later found in Boscobel and he was arrested shortly after he fled on foot.
Anderson was charged with fleeing an officer, possession of THC, possession of prescription drugs, OWI, and obstructing/resisting an officer.
