Friday, the Packers announced they released special teams coordinator Shawn Slocum. Slocum worked for the Packers since 2006. 

Baraboo girls raise money for teammate's family

Like a lot of teams, many girls on the Baraboo basketball team have played together since elementary school. They share a strong bond on and off the floor. On February 5th, that bond gets taken to a new level as the team hosts a "Shoot Down Cancer" benefit. 

Michigan pounds Wisconsin 6-0

Friday night, Michigan's high scoring offense scored seven goals at the Kohl Center en route to a 7-4 win over Wisconsin. Saturday night went just as well for Big Blue, as they scored six more in a 6-0 rout of the Badgers. 

Cobb and Shields added to Pro Bowl

Packers players Randall Cobb and Sam Shields have been added to the Pro Bowl, the NFL announced Monday. Cobb replaces Dez Bryant, who won't participate due to injury, and Shields replaces Darrelle Revis, who is playing in the Super Bowl with the Patriots. 

Badger women win, avenge loss to Bemidji St.

A day after falling to Bemidji St. at home, Wisconsin women's hockey avenged their home loss with a home win over the Beavers Saturday at LaBahn Arena. Brittany Ammerman scored a goal in overtime to give the Badgers a 2-1 win. 

Traevon Jackson's injury severe

Monday, Wisconsin men's basketball announced that starting point guard Traevon Jackson will miss several weeks with a foot injury. 

Gophers beat the Badgers again

Wisconsin women's hockey team's 12-game winning streak came to an end Saturday in Minneapolis when the Gophers beat UW 4-1. 

Mount Horeb sinks 14 threes, routs DeForest

Mount Horeb boys basketball came into Tuesday's game with DeForest losers of four straight games. The Vikings didn't let that effect them as they hit fourteen threes en route to a 75-47 win over the Norskies.

The Dallas Cowboys staged a fourth quarter comeback Sunday at AT&T Stadium to beat the Detroit Lions 24-20 and advance to the divisional round of the NFC Playoffs.

An 18-year-old man, Madison police say, shot his 14-year-old cousin in the chest as the two family members played a dangerous game with a loaded gun Friday afternoon at an apartment at 914 W. Badger Road.
