When Melissa Terrill and her husband Mike lost their daughter and then son in infancy, they decided to reach out and support parents like themselves. Melissa serves as the president of the nonprofit organization Mikayla's Grace, which provides care and support to parents with babies in the NICU at area hospitals.

'Volunteer' Only Begins to Describe this Local Woman

Jill Foley began volunteering with the Ronald McDonald House 20 years ago and has grown in her work to serve in multiple capacities. Jill's commitment earned her the title of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison's Volunteer of the Year in 2012, and inspires her continued efforts to serve families who need help at all levels of this organization.

Keeping Madisonians Young at Heart

Amy Recob took an internship in college at the Madison Children's Museum and has been hooked ever since. She continues to find new ways to give back to a staple in the Madison community as a mother and new children's author. Amy's role as co-chair of the Wonder Ball and Wonder Prom allows her to remain working behind the scenes, while still enjoying her favorite part about the museum—keeping kids and adults young at heart.

Breast Cancer Survivor Helps Change Women's Lives

After learning she had breast cancer eight years ago, Leanne Widen decided to attend a retreat through Breast Cancer Recovery. Her experience spurred her involvement in the organization she now volunteers for and represents.
