A man sleeping in his truck at a park and ride early Tuesday morning was beaten before the attackers stole his truck, Madison police said.

The man was sleeping in his truck around 12:50 a.m. at the Dutch Mill Park and Ride when two men opened the truck door, pulled him out and started beating him, according to a release.

Lenell P. McKinney, 36, of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Jacob S. Mcek, 22, of Lone Rock, were arrested for battery and operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, according to police.

One of the attackers held the man down while the other one punched him multiple times, police said. The attackers got into the man’s truck and drove away.
