Arol Marie Soderholm
Madison – Our family lost a loving wife, mother, and grandmother on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Arol Marie Soderholm, age 91, of the Madison area passed away at Skaalen Therapy and Wellness Center, Stoughton.
She was born March 25, 1923 the daughter of Stacy and Nancy (Strangeway) Clark in Sarona. Arol graduated from West High School, June 13, 1941. She worked for W.T. Grants from 1942-1948 and Stevens House of Gifts for nearly 10 years. She met Victor Raymond Soderholm on December 27, 1945 at an American Legion Hall dance. They married May 3, 1947 and enjoyed 63 years of marriage. Arol took great pride in caring for her family and pleasure in many varied sewing projects over the years.
Arol is survived by her 2 daughters, Cynthia (Randell Otis) Soderholm, Fitchburg, Kathy (Doug) Dittmann, Middleton; five grandchildren, Stacy Soderholm, Katie, Lauren, and Claire Dittmann, and Graham Otis; and her brother, Jim Clark.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Soderholm ; son, Steven Victor Soderholm; and three siblings, Irene Goodman, Lois Johnson, Maxine Lawson and Stacy Clark.
A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Lodi.
