Arlene E. Rindy
MADISON-Arlene E. Rindy, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012. She was born on July 11, 1922, in Minneapolis, Minn., the daughter of Oscar and Emma (Govig) Olson. She married Herbert Rindy on Sept. 27, 1946, in Salem, Ore. Arlene and Herbert enjoyed starting their boat in Sturgeon Bay, cruising down the Mississippi River, around the Florida Keys, and up the intercoastal waterways. She worked in the family business, Madison Moving and Storage, for more than 25 years. Arlene and Herbert enjoyed their home and spending winters in Florida for the last 25 years.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert; four children, Cheryl (Michael) Moskoff, Jaclyn (Mike) Hirsch, Patricia Phillips, and David (Karen) Rindy; eight grandchildren, James and Joel Kuenzi, Gabriel, Alex and David Moskoff, Chris and Angela Rindy, and Sam Phillips; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Ernest and Arnold Olson.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, with Chaplain Jason Hill presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
