Aricie Ablavi Bogla
MADISON-Mrs. Aricie Ablavi Bogla born on October 3, 1972, in Togo (West Africa) died on August 28, 2013, at home surrounded by her family at the age of 40 after a long battle with breast cancer.
She came to the United States in December of 2008 to live with her sister and husband, Massan & Leon Da Costa in Madison.
Ablavi had her Master of Arts degree in French (literature) inTogo before she came into the US. She enjoyed nature, a good meal (French cuisine), a good book, shopping and loved visiting places. Her last trip was July 14 2013 to Michigan to visit friends and family. Aricie was respectful, kind, and knew how to get along with everyone. She will be remembered by her beautiful and stylishly remarkable smile. Even after her last breath, she kept her smile active on her face.
Ablavi left two children behind; Achiraf, 10 years old and Aida, 4 years old. She is survived by her husband, Massoudi Tairou; her parents, Denis and Antoinette Bogla; her brother, Regis; sisters, Ariane (James) in Togo and Massan (Leon) here in Madison. She is also survived by her close friends and several aunts, uncles and cousins, nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Parish at the St. Joseph Church, 1905 W. Beltline Hwy., Madison on Friday, September 6th. 2013 at 12:00 P.M. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:45 A.M. till the time of service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends and fellowship to celebrate her life from 3 P.M. until 7P.M. in the reception hall of the same church located at 1905 W. Beltline Hwy. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
