Ardys E. Wirth
MADISON- Ardys E. Wirth, age 86, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at Huntington Place in Janesville. She was born on May 20, 1926 in Middleton the daughter of August and Elsie (Koepcke) Schroeder. Ardys was a graduate of Middleton High School and was united in marriage to Fred Wirth on July 27, 1946, in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Middleton. She always enjoyed gardening, home canning, picking strawberries and raspberries with her sister, Edna; baking pies and cookies for her family and doing a variety of sewing projects. Ardys treasured her family and took great pride in being a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Ardys is survived by her devoted daughter, Connie Evans of Janesville; two grandchildren, Scott (Elizabeth) Evans of Janesville and Kimberly Johnson of Milton; three great grandchildren, Joshua Johnson; Alex and Corina Evans; a sister Edna Healy of Middleton and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred in 2011 and a brother, Warren Schroeder.
Per Ardys’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staffs of Huntington Place and Clare Bridge Senior Living of Middleton for all their loving care and support.
