JANESVILLE—Anuff H. Kersting, age 79, of Janesville, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Rock Haven. He was born in Black River Falls, WI, on April 9, 1933, the son of Albert and Hazel (Bailey) Kersting. He served in the US AirForce both on active duty as well as for 8 years in the reserves. Anuff married Marian L. Sorenson on June 17, 1953, in Black River Falls. A Janesville resident since 1958, he was employed as a driver for JATCO for 35 years. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and Teamsters Local #579. Anuff loved deer hunting, fishing, bowling and watching the Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; 3 children: Wayne (Sharon) Kersting of Roscoe, IL, Keith (Connie) Kersting and Craig Kersting both of Janesville; 3 grandchildren: CJ, Crystal, and Jason Kersting; 6 step grandchildren: Brad (Wendy) Johnson, Ross (Vicki) Kirchner, Jim Kirchner, Rick (Shawn) Kirchner, Scott (Judith) Kirchner, and Tammy Zinn; 23 step great grandchildren; 12 step great great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Arliss Bruley of Black River Falls, Ellen Bruley of Tomah, and Lorraine (Jerry) Saunders of Jacksonville, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Gina Kersting; and brother, Basil Kersting.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at MT. CALVARY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2940 Mineral Point Ave., Janesville, with Rev. Cory Rajek officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, 1800 E. Racine St., Janesville. Memorials may be made for Alzheimer’s research.
