BROOKLYN/ONALASKA-Anechia Jean “Butch” Snyder, age 77, of Verona, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, unexpectedly, but peacefully at her home in her sleep.

She was born on April 19, 1934, in Monroe County on the family farm, the daughter of Carold and Olive (Oldfield) Hurlbutt. She graduated from Hillsboro High School and attended Madison Business College where she met her husband. She married Ronald E. Snyder on September 18, 1954, in Elroy. Butch put a lot of love into her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at their vacation home in Delwood, trips to the casino, gardening, playing games, and had many other hobbies. She loved to watch the birds and had a passion for the Green Bay Packers and Nascar. She loved to cook for her family and was well known for her bean soup.

Butch is survived by her children; son, Ritchie (Debbie) Snyder of Belleville and daughter, Kim Snyder of Madison; her grandchildren, Tami Legler of Madison, April (Ryan) McConnell of Dalton, Mitchell Snyder (Jeanne Corcoran) of Oregon, Kari Legler (Ty Runyan) of Arena; her great-grandchildren, Griffen, Devon, twins, Anechia and Zada, Owen, and Boe; and her sister, Audrey (Paul) Cleaver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister, Jacqueline Lindemann.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME OREGON, 1150 Park Street, Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012 with the Rev. Gail Brown presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
