MIDDLETON-Amelia Corigliano, age 97, of Middleton, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012. She was born in Italy on December 17, 1914, the daughter of Vincent and Luisa (Piccioli) Stendardo. Amelia married Domenic Corigliano in Philadelphia in 1936. He preceded her in death in 1968. Amelia was a seamstress and worked for several clothing manufacturers. She enjoyed crocheting, an occasional trip to the casino, and frequently traveled to Italy between 1965 and 1990.
Amelia is survived by daughter, Norma Noonan; son, Duilio “Dewey” Corigliano; grandchildren, Dina (Rob Lewis) Corigliano, Danielle (Jon) Thorson, and Thomas (Angela) Noonan; and great-grandchildren, Cristina, Luca, and Leo Thorson, and Amelia Noonan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, grandson, Cesare Corigliano; and brothers, Frank, Ray, and Pat Stendardo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton, at Noon on Wednesday, August 1, 1012, with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
