BELOIT, Wis. — Amazon announced Monday that the company’s new fulfillment center in Beloit will create 500 new full-time jobs.

According to a news release, the new one-million-square-foot facility is expected to launch in time for the 2020 holiday season. Amazon will pay employees 15 dollars an hour and offer comprehensive benefits to full-time employees.

Workers at the new facility will work alongside robots to pick, pack and ship small items, including books, electronics and consumer goods.

City of Beloit officials confirmed in December that Amazon would be the tenant for the warehouse distribution facility at the southeast corner of Gateway Boulevard and Colley Road.
