Alvin E. Hanson
Alvin E. Hanson, age 63, of Stoughton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 19, 2012. He was born in Virginia, MN on November 9, 1948, the son of the late Lester and Betty (Baker) Hanson. Alvin was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked and lived in Wausau, prior to moving to Stoughton in 1996. Alvin loved to spend time with his family and was a devoted and loving husband, father and uncle.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine; a daughter, Julie (Matt) Adamski of DeForest; a granddaughter, Rebecca of Wausau; three brothers, Larry, Allen and Rocky Hanson; brothers and sister-in-law, Ken Mack, Roger (Joan) Mack, Marlan (Merrilee) Mack and Edith Mack; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosemary and Lila.
A funeral service will be held at SAUK PRAIRIE COMMUNITY CENTER, 730 Monroe St., Sauk City, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2012 and also at the Community Center on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Sauk Prairie Cemetery.
