Allen ‘Todd’ Toney

Allen B. ‘Todd’ Toney, 76, of Richland Center and Akan Township died peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Select Specialty in Madison. He was born December 29, 1935 in Richland County the son of Eldon and Florence (Meade) Toney. Todd was a Golden Glove Boxer and a drummer in high school. On October 9, 1954 Todd married his high school sweetheart Donna ‘Jean’ Turnipseed at St. John’s Lutheran Church. He owned Todd’s Barbershop in Richland Center for many years. He retired in 2000, from Consumers’ Co-op. Todd was a member of the Five Points Lutheran Church, Backroad Express Riders and Boaz Lions Club. Todd served on the City Council, Richland Center Police and Fire Commission, and as a Cub Scout Leader. He enjoyed bowling, the Green Bay Packers, hunting, and fishing.

Todd is survived by his wife Donna ‘Jean’, children, Vincent of Richland Center, Kimberly (Ronald) Steiner of Richland Center, Victor (Madison) of Jackson, Wisconsin, Derrick (Philip) of New York, New York, Gaye Lynn (Jon) Cosgrove of Richland Center, Zachary (Nichole) of Richland Center, 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sister, Doretta Hansen of Richland Center, brother-in-law, Paul DesRocher of Racine, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Florence Toney, daughter Roanne Rae, brothers and sisters Marjorie Forester, Glennis Toney, Beba Frye, Lavonne ‘Shonnie’ DesRocher, Emogene Draheim, Joyce Shaw, Buford Toney, and Eldon Toney, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Five Points Lutheran Church. Burial will be held on a later date at the Richland Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the Five Points Lutheran Church on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. The family suggests memorials in Todd’s name be given to Five Points Lutheran Church. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service of Richland Center is assisting the family with their arrangements.
