Alleged robber returns to scene of robbery, swats tobacco out of employee’s hands

MADISON, Wis. —  The suspect in a January strong-armed robbery at a Walgreens allegedly returned Monday to commit a similar crime.

The Madison Police Department said the man went into the drug store on the 5700 block of Raymond Road and swatted tobacco products out of an employee’s hand.

Officers said he then ran off with the items.

On Jan. 30, the same man allegedly “body checked” a clerk while making his way behind the sales counter to grab a large amount of cigarettes.
