Alice Jeanette Gordon

Dodgeville – Alice Jeanette Gordon, age 86, of Dodgeville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Alice was born on December 10, 1933 to Walton and Mamie Reed. She grew up in the Mineral Point area. She married Curtis Gordon and moved to the family farm, where she raised her four children. She worked at The Huddle, where she was an amazing cook and known for her cinnamon rolls. She also worked at Janlin Plastics for 20 years and then went to Quantum Devices where she retired.

She enjoyed reading, cooking and telling all kinds of jokes, especially the Chicken Joke! Above all else, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, all of her beloved dogs (especially her old-man dog, Jasper and Bobo) and many friends. She was always telling stories, giving very impressive advice and being our rock.

Alice is survived by her children Vickie (Jimbo Lee) Gordon, David (Laura) Gordon, Connie (Joe Schlimgen) Gordon and Kathy Gordon; her grandchildren Diedra (Matt) Gavinski, Steve (Sarah) Gordon, Kyle (Tylynn) Mutert, Derek (Heather) Gordon, Devon Schlimgen and Forrest Gordon; her great grandchildren Treyton, Novalee, Cashton, Camden, Lincoln and London; extended grandchildren Brooke, Brandi, Jade, Joey, Krystle; extended great grandchildren; and many honorary grandchildren, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, her husband Curtis and great granddaughter Devalynn, as well as many other family members.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Burial will be held in Waldwick Cemetery.
