Alfred O. Marsh
JANESVILLE—- Alfred O. Marsh, age 97, of Janesville died on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at St. Elizabeth’s Nursing Home. He was born in Janesville on May 5, 1915, the son of Otto and Martha (Koch) Marsh. He attended St. Paul’s School and later a vocational school. Alfred married Marion E. Kreklow in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Jefferson, WI on May 6, 1939. He had been employed by the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad from 1936, until his retirement in 1976. Alfred had been a life long member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marion Marsh; 2 children, Linda (Robert) Lindaas of Wisconsin Rapids and Randal (Lora) Marsh of Milton; 3 grandchildren: Jody (Alex) Gerlach, Julia (Steve) Johnson and Lindsay Marsh; and 6 great grandchildren: Trista, Faith, Caitlin, Austin, Sam and Tony. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Judith and son-in-law, Walter Miner; grandson, Luc Marsh; and sister, Ethel Becker.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at ST. PAUL’S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. Daniel Decker officiating. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Lasting Memorials maybe made to St. Elizabeth Nursing Home.
