Alert days in the forecast
Alert days are in the forecast starting on Sunday for high heat and humidity across southern Wisconsin. Long range forecasts are in good agreement that temperatures will warm into the 90s for several days. In addition, dew points will climb into the upper 60s and lower 70s sending heat index values into the triple digits at times.
Heat is the number one weather related killer across the country. Last year, more people died due to heat than tornadoes, flooding, and hurricanes combined. Here are some tips to keep in mind as the weather heats up.
