Alert Day Update: Latest snow accumulation forecast
Alert Days are still in the forecast for Friday night and all day Saturday as a system brings snowfall to much of southern Wisconsin. With temperatures in the middle to upper 30s Friday afternoon, mixed precipitation is likely until overnight when temperatures will fall to the lower 30s.
Snow, possibly mixed with rain southeast of Madison, will continue Saturday morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of southcentral and southwestern Wisconsin tonight until 6 PM Saturday due to messy road conditions from the snowfall and the potential for windy conditions Saturday. Wind gusts close to 30 MPH are possible. Blowing snow may cause reduced visibility at times, especially in rural areas.
