Alder Myadze hosts Q&A with constituents on Bus Rapid Transit plan
MADISON, Wis. — A northside alder hosted a question-and-answer session with his constituents Saturday afternoon on the city’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) plan.
The BRT plan promises faster transportation times and would operate east-west through downtown and the UW-Madison campus.
The city is also planning a metro transit redesign, which would be the biggest changes to Madison’s bus system in the past 20 years.
According to his website, District 18 Alder Charles Myadze said keeping his residents “informed and involved is part of my job,” which is why he scheduled the two meetings. A second community meeting with the Carpenters Union is scheduled for Aug. 28.
