Madison created the World's Largest Cheeseboard

In queso you missed the news, Madison made headlines for creating the World’s Largest Cheeseboard on Aug. 1, 2018, on King Street. Nine images from the record-breaking event are pictured in this two-page spread. In attendance to make the moment official was Mike Marcotte (pictured bottom far left), an adjudicator for Guinness World Records, who was present earlier in the day for the official weighing of the exorbitant amount of Wisconsin cheese collected for the occasion, put on by the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin.

A 2,064-pound wheel of Henning’s Mammoth Cheddar (pictured middle far left) was the cheese de resistance on a custom 35-by-7-foot-wide cheeseboard, which held the record-breaking 4,437 pounds and 9.92 ounces of Wisconsin cheese. Wisconsin broke the previous record by more than 1,000 pounds.
