A Badgers volleyball first: Hilley receives first-team Academic All-America award

MADISON, Wis.- Wisconsin setter Sydney Hilley has been named to the Academic All-America team.

Three Wisconsin Badger volleyball players have made the Academic All-American list, according to the Wisconsin Volleyball 2019 Record Book.


In 1983, Kathy Cogan was named to the second-team Academic All-American list. In 2016, Lauren Carlini was named to the third-team list.

This year, Sydney Hilley became the first Wisconsin volleyball player to be named to the first-team Academic All-America team.

Hilley, a junior, has a 3.79 GPA and is majoring in genetics and genomics.
