911 dispatcher first to scene of city hall brawl
Men banned from City County Building
MADISON, Wis. — A 911 dispatcher was the first to the scene of a fight just up the hall from the communications center at the City County Building, according to a release from Madison police.
Police said the two men were fighting in the hallway outside the City Clerk’s Office Monday morning after one accused the other of “messing with his girlfriend.”
The dispatcher grabbed one of the men and dragged him away as police responded from the floor below.
The men, Willie E. Campbell Jr., 51, and Phalen Pierson, 54, were arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.
A city official said the men are banned from the building.
