804 new COVID cases; over 1.3 million Wisconsinites fully vaccinated
MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin has reported a decrease in COVID-19 cases from Friday’s count, bringing the state to a total over 580,000.
Health officials confirmed 804 new cases Saturday, a drop from Friday’s case count of 1,092. The seven-day average of new cases per day has also continued on an increase, with Saturday’s average at 778.
The state has reached a lifetime total of 584,739 confirmed cases, and nearly 1.5% of cases are active.
DHS officials said 3,471,590 doses of the vaccine have been administered to Wisconsinites, while 1,386,707 people have fully completed the vaccine series.
The seven-day positivity rate for total tests by day has slightly increased to 3.8%.
At least 6,676 people have died of coronavirus complications, with 4 new deaths confirmed Saturday. Another 60 people were also hospitalized in the past day.
